Jack A Maywald's Obituary
Jack Alan Maywald, age 73, of Huffman, Texas, was united with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. He was born on February 23, 1953 in Houston, Texas. He will be remembered for his love of family, his generosity and willingness to help others, and his lifelong passion for hunting and fishing. Jack was an avid fan of the Houston Texans and Astros. He also served for many years on the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Committee.
Jack and his beloved wife, Betty, shared 48 wonderful years of marriage building a life and home centered on faith, love, and family.
He dedicated more than 50 years to a successful career as an electrician primarily at Lyondell where he was respected for his strong work ethic, his readiness to take on any challenge, and the many lasting friendships he formed throughout his career.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Maywald; their daughter Britney Schultea (Kenneth); his grandsons Landon Campbell and Levi Schultea; his brother, Steve Maywald (Nancy) and several cousins, extended family, and host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Doris Maywald.
Though he will be deeply missed, his family rejoices in the promise that he has been welcomed home by his Savior hearing words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at 2:00PM at Community Baptist Church, 20615 FM2100, Crosby, Texas 77532. The funeral service will begin at 3:00PM followed by a Celebration of Jack’s Life at the church reception hall.
There will not be a procession to the burial site at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton,Texas but family and friends are welcome to pay their respects at the gravesite any time.
